RE: The Art Song Preservation Society of New York
Hi Celeste,
The concert was WONDERFUL! It was actually quite funny, because a number of our members were disappointed when I told them the day of the concert that it was actually not going to be all art songs, but after the concert they were raving about it and so excited! Every musician was extremely talented and the variety was actually quite lovely because we had no idea what was next but the quality was so high that each time it was like a delightful surprise. People were particularly impressed with the woman who played the saw! And she was excellent with other members, taking the time to answer the many questions they had about the instrument and its history. Our members loved how engaging it was and I really appreciated that the program ended with many of the musicians singing together with our members. Such a beautiful way to share the gift of music.
We would love to have you back, even sooner than a year from now if you’re interested, I’d be happy to have you twice a year (or more) particularly because the program will most likely be so different each time. Thank you once again for bringing such a diverse group of incredibly talented musicians to SAGE! It was such a pleasure! Please let me know if you need anything else, I’d be happy to support your organizations any way I can.
Best,
Christian

Music Therapy Performances
ASPSNY is introducing a series of mini-recitals and concerts throughout New York's senior centers, retirement communities, and hospices as an effort to encourage the healing power of music. This informal series of free concerts features local artists both perform and explain their selections. These programs are designed to make art song interesting and accessible to audiences that may otherwise not have the chance to attend a performance.
Other Services
ASPSNY also performs at community, cultural, educational, entertainment, and social engagements. To find out how we can bring art song to your community, please contact Celeste Chau or Blair Boone-Migura.
