"I have fond memories of the Poulenc Master Class I held for ASPS in New York in 2010. The singers were wonderfully gifted. The audience showed great enthusiasm for Poulenc's magical songs. They are indeed contemporary in their appeal to singers (and pianists) of this generation."

"Thomas Grubb has a very effective and efficient way of communicating with us. His humor and insight about the French culture and society are also valuable."

"It was truly a pleasure to participate in both the workshop and Master Class; and I thoroughly enjoyed Thomas Grubb's insightful and detailed coaching approach. His knowledge of French diction is remarkable! Who can reproduce Gerald Moore's playing? But his suggestion worked very well in the opening of Fleur jetée (Faure), and it made the passage considerably easier to play. The Art Song Preservation Society events have been wonderful experiences thus far. The common bond between members that has brought singers and pianists together in a mutual love for the art form has been both inspiring and encouraging."

"It was the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Author and master teacher Thomas Grubb's craftsmanship embodied and gave life to the words inscribed on the back of the ASPS program, 'Where music speaks and words sing'!"

"My first time... and the experience was very good. I really liked the format of half live performance and half discussion.
Blair is a great organizer and the material he gave out is really informative. I learned a lot!"

"It was a wonderful chance to perform and listen to one's peers. Very enjoyable experience. Really had fun with the singers I played for. Learned a few things about French, too. Blair is very knowledgeable and very dedicated. Thanks!"

"There were such talented singers, composers and accompanists as well as supportive Art Song enthusiasts present and this was very exciting. The supportive and open feeling I got from the group made trying out new material so much fun!"

I'm a pianist, and have been playing solo repertoire, chamber music, and opera repertoire. This is a great opportunity to expand my horizons to Art Songs, which I enjoy but never got a chance to play."
